Photo #11: university town
This photograph of Belmont Street in Aberdeen – close to the old campus of Robert Gordon University – was taken on my last visit there in September.

Very Robert Louis Stevenson. One half expects Alan ‘Breac’ Steward to round one of the corners. That town really is of an older vintage to almost any of ours, eh.
A somewhat odd string of words in English on that sign. They would have a different meaning entirely in, say, Nevada.

Very ‘Washington Wilsonesque’ (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/George_Washington_Wilson) (http://ibase.abdn.ac.uk/).
Is it Infra red? I haven’t seen Belmont Street looking that quiet in a very long time; what time of day did you take it?
It’s certainly very atmospheric.
