Capital city: photo of Edinburgh
I confess I find Edinburgh, which I now visit regularly as part of my job, to be a fascinating city. But above all it is fascinating because of its complex layout and architecture. It is easy to see how JK Rowling might have developed the mood of the Harry Potter novels from her experience of living in this city.
The photograph below is a small section of the view from the Waverley Bridge just outside Edinburgh’s main railway station.
