My last dog was a rescue, a Pekingese bitch. She was in a terrible state when I got her. But after two years I entered her in a local dog show and came out supreme champ! Chang was with me for 14 wonderful years and I miss her terribly. Of her total 15 years I know she enjoyed those with me. Although she would growl at other dogs on occasion and even chase the odd greyhound (!), she never bit me once.

Animals love us and keep us sane. So the least we can do is to give them a good, loving home.
